A primary school from Noia (Galicia, Spain) visiting our lab
6 de Marzo de 2020

We really enjoyed to share the time with the children! Nice opportunity to explain future researchers how research works! They had the opportunity to extract DNA from strawberries, pipetting, etc.

We used music (Mozart...) to explain to the children how a mutation can lead to a rare disease. The simil is simple: just modify a bit the Turkish March and see what happens!

Did you know that n-counter nanostring technology is one of the most robust that exists today for the validation of results obtained in gene expression studies using high-throughput techniques, such as RNAseq (Next-generation Sequencing) or microarrays. The main advantages of this technology as a validation tool are:

  • High accuracy
  • Sensitivity
  • Reproducibility

Do you know why? 🤔, basically, the n-counter does not need pre-amplification of the samples neither preparation of libraries; this avoid possible biases in the results. If you want more information and understand how we can help you, you can contact us through the form on our website.
